Ten Tips For Saving Money During The Back-To-School Season

1. Before going out to buy school supplies check to see what is leftover from last year.

2. Check the Summer clearance racks. T-shirts and tank tops can be worn under cardigans and skirts can be worn over tights.

3. Buy snacks for lunches when you see them on sale and use coupons for extra discounts.

4. Look at the ads in the Sunday newspaper to see where school supplies can be found cheapest each week.

5. Garage sale and resale season is still going strong. Check their for back-to-school clothing basics.

6. Girls can buy trendy accessories to pair with last year's clothes to bring them up to style.

7. Sell old clothes at places like Plato's Closet and Once Upon a Child and use the money you make to buy new clothes.

8. Instead of backpacks consider using a tote bag to carry school supplies. Some can be found for $1 at local stores.

9. Wait to buy new shoes until stores have Buy 1 Get 1 or Buy 1 Get 1 Half off sales.

10. Look online for coupon codes before making online purchases. A great site is Retail Me Not.
